In the MVM update TF2 gained a story line created for the purpose of explaining the new game mode this story was about the third faction the grey team creating an army of robots to kill the red and "blu"teams.in the creation of the attacks from robots teams red and "blu" joined forces to stop the grey teams robots from destroying mann co the weapons creation depot.

Stronghold 2-
The Story of stronghold is quite simple you start of with the king missing and you need to find him once you complete this task you are then required to help the land by either helping the king destroy the three other lords or join them to kill the king and then race for the crown

skyrim-
the story of skyrim is to save the land of skyrim form the impending dragon "problem" and ongoing civil war.of course there is also all the side quests that add elements to the story however the main end goal is to save the land from alduin.

Lego Universe-the story of Lego universe is simple but immersive.the beginning is about 5 adventures who seek after the imagination nexus however one of these adventurers becomes corrupt and creates pure evil and you the player are tasked with saving imagination by finding the imagination nexus and destroying the corrupt area.

COD WAW-
the story in COD WAW is very good as it follows a select set of american marines who follow the steps of the real life war heroes who attacked the Japanese fighters in WW2. At the same time as this you also play a a Russian soldier fighting the Nazi forces in Russia and Germany your goal is to finish the campaign by defeating the Nazi's.

Golden eye 64-
the story of golden eye 64 is exactly the same as its film counterpart goldeneye.
the story involves a secret agent who is tasked with stopping general orumov for using the golden eye satellite and stealing form banks around the world.

starfox adventure has a great story that is fun and enjoyable to everyone.the story consists of a planet that is in trouble from an evil tyrant who threatens to enslave all who inhabit the planet.all the inhabitants are dinosaurs whilst the tyrant and his army are dinosaur humanoids.you are tasked with finding 4 magic stones to keep the planet from tearing apart and along side stopping the army of the tyrant General scales.

Gmod-
People who play Garry's mod are either just in it to build things in the sandbox games however the main reason are for the high amount of fantastic sub games made by the community like Prop hunt and TTT..also the game is hilarious and has lots of cool addons and wepons for the user to try out.

Sonic the Hedgehog-
the reason why people play sonic the hedgehog is because it is fun and addictive and just overall a superb game that has a low level of skill along side this the levels are beautiful and well made. Although the future games have a story line created for them the original game just has a goal which is to stop Dr egg man/robotnik. Besides this there is no branching story to the game.

Minecraft-
although there is some debate to if mine craft has a story or not it is more considered that it doesn't as the game originally didn't have an ending now it has the story to kill the ender dragon to save the world of minecraftia. After doing this you are greeted with a credit scene and are then returned to the game however the credit scene does contain some sort of a story.besides all of this players still play the game today even though they have finished the game lots of times over.
