p1 music with themes

Zelda chest opening
the Zelda chest opening sound is one that represents the character finding something and it can be used in almost any situation even ones outside of Zelda games  to  show the character  finding something. The Zelda chest opening music  is one of the most iconic pieces of short music in all of gaming history due to its continuation  throughout all the Zelda franchise and even hinted at in a few other games.

Zelda elegy of emptiness
the elegy of emptiness is a hauntingly beautiful pieces of orchestrated music that is design to make the player feel a certain way tricking them from what the true purpose is or the song actually is. The song is used within the game to give sombre feel to the game as it is used in the darkest part of the game. The actual purpose of the song within the game however is not for death or destruction it is actually for happiness and moving on as the game reveals later on. This piece of music is a perfect example of metaphor’s and symbolism.

Richtofen cod zombie’s quotes
within the call of duty zombies game mode there a lot of audio ques for certain kills such as if you set a zombie on fire your character will acknowledge  this buy saying a quote that involved him talking to himself about how he burned it. There are hundreds of quotes that show these similar things perfectly. These quotes are a perfect way of showing speech to describe stuff that it happening in games.

Mood
The mood that this them provides is one that gives the player a sense of adventure and action just like the music’s creator wanted it to feel like. The original creation of this piece of music was to the games creators’ design of a freely adventured open world for the player to discover.

Star fox adventures-main theme
Mood
The mood this piece of music provides is that of a space fuelled adventure as the player simply listens to the music whilst waiting on the main menu still waiting for the start of the game. The music may only appear in the menu but it is still important as the creator decided to make it less prominent than that of the game itself this makes the music more important to the game as it gives the complete tone of the game right when the player starts of the game.

Mood
 The mood that Skyrim’s main theme gives of is that of an action filled adventure that is the massively open world that is Skyrim. Right from the get go the player starts to get into the adventurous mood that the games music provides to the player.

Mood
The genre defining music and sounds that Wolfenstein provides is a masterpiece. The feeling that it gives the player is one that lets the player feel the fear of being imprisoned in a Nazi infested castle  and having to fight your way out. The gunshots and dying screams of Nazi’s.

Stronghold 2-battle theme
Mood
The battle theme of stronghold 2 is one that makes the player feel the fear and power of an imposing force battling the player this piece of music is one that makes the player immersed inside of the game making it better than if it was just silent this means that the original creators piece of music works perfectly for the games background.

Sound FX is very important as music due to the need for things like small insignificant sounds that  make the game more immersive like a death sound being an ouch sound or simply it could also be a short piece of music that is designed to make the player feel sad about killing the character they controlled. Music and sound FX is very important for games for the sole fact that they make the player connected to the character in a multitude of ways.

Waveform
Waveform in the descriptive image of how we see sound. It is shown as a wavy line that is in essence the single note that a tuning fork makes. The highest part of the wave is representing the pressure of the sound whilst the horizontal length represents the length of the sound being played

Wavelength
Wavelength is how the horizontal length is measured.

Amplitude
Amplitude is the measurement of the height of a wave.

Frequency
Frequency is the number of waves within a second.

Pitch
Pitch is simply how high or low a note is and is used in music more than it is sound FX

Hertz
Hertz is how frequency is measured and is used to calculate what frequency certain wavelengths are on.

Decibel level
Decibel level is the way of measuring how loud a sound of piece of music gets this means that for professional recording studios they recorded all the music by a decibel unit this is how they judge what is the best volume for that sound.

Sound generator
A sound generator is a piece of software or hardware’s that creates a synthetic sound for the purpose of creation music or a sound that is within the game.
Folly is   the use of artificial sounds such as a cracking door is used from some form of hinge that creaks in real life.

Timbre is they definition of differences in musical sound such as the difference between a guitar and vocals.

new story big trouble little china

Plot
start
guy gets interviewed for a persons location and shows magic powers
trucker goes to play poker with a Chinese man then they go to the airport and the trucker encounters  the local china town gang.
the two then go looking for the gang and end up in the middle to a gang turf war
then super people turn up and the two heroes  run to a safe house and find out that one of the two's  fiance is being sold at a market and they go to buy her back
however they are interrupted by the super humans who then take the fiance
so then the gang go back to find a way  to get the fiance back they then break into the supers leaders lair.after this after searching they become trapped  and are introduced to the main boss  who has to capture the fiance to  lift a centuries old curse.


middle
then the main characters get trapped in a room to which they know no way out they then escape whilst trapping one of the supers inside.however he breaks out whilst the heroes try to escape.they encounter some goons who prove no trouble to the heroes they then run into more of their friends who need to be rescued to which they do rescue them and they escape through the sewers however they are then found again by the super and his goons
as they escape the lair the realise that Gracie is left behind and captured by the boss super whilst the others try to recover her from him.in doing this the gain access to an underground cavern near where a torture/mind alteration ceremony's going on in which the boss decides to marry both women to break the curse.as this happens the heroes make there way towards the wedding ceremony to which they go to kill the boss and his goons.



end a big fight breaks out  as they are alerted to the presences of the heroes
as this happens each of the main heroes has there own individual battles.the heroes win the fight however the boss and the fiance are still being taken somewhere.
once the battles has ended the main hero (the trucker) goes and finds the boss and attempts to kill them which he does but his final disciple still fights them.as they run to escape they find the main characters stolen truck and escape  with it they then regroup to say their goodbyes.


Is Big Trouble in little China story elements just a film or is it a book?

 no it is just a film however there is a comic book made in 2014 that is base don the film

Who are the main characters? 

jack Burton
Strong,bold and brave Jack Burton is the main protagonist that has the end goal of ending the life of the main antagonist lo pan.He believes that he is the hero of the film however in actual fact he is more of a sub-hero due to the way he fights. he builds himself up to be someone bigger then he is and this is why he is shown to be the main hero compared to someone like Wang.Jack also by the end of the film realises that he has fallen in love with Gracie but proceeded to spend little time with her and would rather spend time on the road with his beloved truck.

Wang
Wang is an odd character as he is a more likely main character for the film as he has a more relevant fighting style that is seen in the film to help out more than jack's boisterous nature. Wang aslo like Jack has the end goal of getting the girl that he has fallen in love with however unlike Jack he says with the girl and ends up marrying her.

Gracie
Gracie is a character  who's purpose it to act mad at the main protagonist and to try to defend the Girl who gets captured.she also  ends up having a relationship with Jack Sort of.

lo pan
loo pan is the Main antagonist who's main use in the film is to taunt both Wang and Jack with their downfall.in the end though he proves to be little challenge because he wishes to be mortal and when he becomes mortal he dies so quickly making him heavily reliant on his minions the three storm.
the end goal of lo pan is to become mortal through Gracie and Mio yin

egg shen
egg shen is the old man  at the start of the film who  has had a battle with lo pan before however cannot beat him.

Her role within the film is very simply the be the damsel in distress as she says no words

their role in the film is to serve lo pna and all they ever do is kidnap people or attack people.

maro is gracies friend who  adds nothing  to the plot or the film in general

jack- aggression and courage

What is their (characters) motivation? 

 jack
jacks motivation in the story is to eventually get his truck back that was stolen by lo pan and his goons this is why he fights so hard throughout the film. jacks other motivation is to save gracie after he falls in love with her.

wang
Wang's motivation is to get his fiance back. and this involves him going through hell and back with Jack burton to get her back. his motivation is his undying love for this girl

gracie
gracie's motivation is to get the best story for her newspaper whilst also trying to save Wangs fiance. alongside this towards the end of the film her motivation is to survive to be with jack

lo pan
lo pans motivation is to be mortal agian. this is to once again rule over the earth.

What is the relationship of the main characters and does it change and why?

 the relationship of the characters is a love hate relationship  as at certain time the characters show love and compassion to each other whilst at other times they show a sort of hatred to each other .however towards the end of the film the characters sort of form a great bond of friendship and love.

NES
the nes controllers ergonomic features are terrible the controller has absolutely no curves except the rounding of the buttons  this can and has had a major effect on the use of the users hand as having corner shaped dents in them  because the controller was griped too hard.

second off the buttons themselves. these buttons felt cheap and nasty as they were only little bits of bad plastic on top of a box made form the same material.

the functions of this controller were limited to 8 functions which is still a lot  compared to the Atari 2600 which had 5 however in relation to the wiiu's 20 which include two stick 1 dpad  and 9 buttons and a amiibo pad

speaking of the wii u the ergonomics of this controller is half decent in the way that  there are at least curves and dips to allow your hand to rest on the sides to hold the device in secure position making in much more acurate however that controller itself is too thin for a good grip and is extremely light and can  be dropped easily making its have damage done to it.

speaking of  damge the controller itself is very weak and has a tendancy toshatter the screen and the casing. this is a problem as if the controller goes then you are required to get a new console alongside the controller.

HCI
Definition: A HCI is the term for using an input device to enable a video game to work.
THe typical HCI that everyone in gaming knows is the controller.wiether you are a pc gamer, mobile gamer, or any other type you have used a HCI.

the mouse is one of  the most common HCI's as it is one of the simplists  uses in gaming.the reason behind this is  its multiple uses both in and out of gaming . the uses include pure useage for googleing and photo editing to hardcore gamings.

the keyboard is also a very popular HCI.one that allows the user tyo do many things including binding keys to do specific functions to just typeing leters and number which use the base functions of searching,coding writing essays and much much more.

the controller is the 3rd of three most common  HCI's and is the most complex an the way that it is a mix of both the keyboard and mouse on a much smaller scale.in this way the joysticks and dpad's work as a simple mouse moving the cursor or reticle round the screen .while this is going on the controllers buttons simultaneously are pressed to use some of the same functions as a keyboard specifically in terms of gaming as you cant fit a full keyboard onto a small controller.

touch screen devices including most modern handhelds have the simple but effective use of your finger as the control system  this includes using a pop up keyboard for the purpose of typing numbers and letters.the touch screen also allows for some interesting ways of control  such as swiping and pinching these do the effects of the scroll wheel  and  the resize tool in certain programs.

these three types of other HCI's  are a long list of odd and wonderful  controllers as they decided to change the way a game is played either the way its viewed or the way the controller works the way that certain controllers allow the user to controller the character however all of them have buttons even if it is a HCI that is used in tangent with  a controller of some kind
